Personalized Gastronomy to Improve the Quality of Life of Patients with Gynecological Cancer (PHASE I)
The objective of the project is to develop an algorithm capable of prescribing personalized recipes to patients with gynecological cancer, tailored to their clinical, nutritional, and behavioral characteristics, with the goal of improving their quality of life.
The project’s methodology includes the identification and characterization of the gynecological cancer under study, as well as the design and structuring of databases that compile recipes and scientific evidence related to nutrition and cancer. Using this information, an algorithm is developed to recommend personalized recipes for patients with ovarian cancer.
Regarding the main results, a thorough characterization of ovarian cancer and the affected patients has been conducted. Additionally, databases containing more than 200 recipes and nearly 2,000 scientific references have been constructed. The developed algorithm is capable of recommending personalized menus based on scientific evidence for patients with ovarian cancer. Furthermore, a protocol has been designed for the reformulation of recipes to facilitate their integration into the system.
